Q. How do you think of all your thoughts?!

A. I have no idea. I've always been a bit of a deep thinker and often thoughts seem to just pop into my head. I often lie on my bed looking up at the ceiling which helps!

Q. How did you do the drawings?

A. Having not done art since A-Level (back in 1996!) I was a bit rusty at first, but I soon got the hang of things. I use a black fine liner and draw the outline of the characters on watercolour paper. I then use illustrator marker pens to colour all the people and animals in.

Q. What's your favourite thought from May The Thoughts Be With You?

A. That's a difficult question. I've loved writing every one but if I had to choose, I'd say the one that starts, 'If souls could speak, this is probably what they would say...' The thought then goes on to list all the positive encouragement anyone could ever need to start living their dreams.

Q. What books have inspired you?

A. So many! However, the single most powerful book I’ve ever read is The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron. It completely changed my life and gave me the confidence to create my own book. It is a course in how to express your inner artist and get over your self-doubt in order to be creative. It’s truly wonderful!

Q. Where are you from?

A. I was born in West Yorkshire but I now live in West London. It's a lot noisier here but I love it.

Q. What helps you to be happy?

A. Nature, animals, spending time with people I love, running my market stall and long, hot baths!
